Presidential Candidates for Peace
Nuclear war was averted for decades following the Peace Summit by Russian and United States Presidents in Reykjavik Iceland 1986.
2 May 2024 a Presidential Peace Debate is planned in Reykjavik where all candidates in the upcoming Icelandic presidential elections are invited to debate how Iceland can again play a definate role to defuse the escalating situation currently developing and which experts are worried that may develop into a nuclear war in the coming months.
This may be one of the most important event held in support of peace in our lifetime. Can we find a way to stop the escalation or will be perish in nuclear war?
Streamed nationwide and around the world
The debate will be held in the largest University Auditorium in Reykjavik and streamed over the Internet nationwide and around the world.
